Mighty questions are being discussed on the Internet via KYW Newsradio 1060 Philadelphia. Dr. Brain McDonough says that the cause of multiple sclerosis not known -- yet. What IS known it is caused by loss of nerve insulation cells. There is a new report out suggesting a potential cause. Here we go again... I applaud the continuation of research to help MSers, but I don't want us to lose sight of heredity factors. I have mentioned before that I have a deceased uncle that had MS and a cousin my age with MS. Yes, we need the research because new reports are showing chemical cuprizone destroying myelin. Cuprizone causes neutrophils to get into the central nervous system and kills the myelin-forming cells.
I do a lot of reading about MS in the mags I get. I am not a fast reader because my eyes strain to keep focused on the sentences and trying to replay them in my brain. When I'm sitting and resting, my mind goes speedily through what I've done or typed in my computer but sometimes it doesn't get the information reassembled correctly. My goal is to keep trying to put things together and do everything in my power to keep feeling good in my life.
