I read the article "Fear of Being Alone" on website http://www.fearinganger.com/2009/08/25/fear-of-being-alone.html caught me off guard. I never knew there was a 'disease' called Monophobia. A pet (or 7) could offer the companionship one might need. The author of this article did a good job explaining the predicament of aloneness in regards to monophobia except pets were not given just consideration. I am sure there are studies on pet companionship benefits. Seeing Eye dogs, disabled person's trained companion dogs are two types of dogs that are even allowed in groceries stores and restaurants. I appreciate knowing there is such a disease but I happen to like being alone...most of the time.
