True friends can be human adults, children, even pets. An acquaintence may be consider a friend but I think not. This statement is only for me; I have developed the definition over the years of my growing up. I am not admittng to old age. No, I am young by many standards I have learned from my parents (who have past to a better life). I have one more brother still alive but we only email each other occasingly. I have a good sample of strong will to live and I want to live as long as I am comfortable in the state I find myself in today. I love animals. I grew up having boxers for pets. Then the boxer thing became Siberian Huskies. Then it was a dry-mouth St. Bernard... I have been through Labradors (x 2) then a Malamuke followed by mini Schnauzer, than a Standard Schnauzer, Beagle, and Norwegian Elkhound. Those are just the dogs I have been owner of; the cats...well, I have been married to a cat guy for 23 years and I don't remember a time without one. As I live and breath, I will always have an indoor cat. They don't care if I am grouchy or not. They will always seek me out whether its in my power chair or easy chair; they will be on me purring and stretching, bathing then sleeping. Cats love anyone who feeds them, changes their litter boxes and see that they have plenty of clean water. |
