Kenny Chesney is from Tennessee and attended East Tennessee State University. After graduating from college he moved to Nashville to become a songwriter. His first album "All I Need to Know" had four songs he had written. Kenny saw his first gold album in 1996. "When I Closed My Eyes" rose to the top of country music charts. Chesney's career took off in 1999 and he received another award winning album in 2004.
