Decreased Sensations I am looking at a sidebar in the current issue of MS Connection about decreased sensation or numbness. It is possible to burn or injure one’s skin with the numbness. I am aware of a man who lost the feeling of his legs years ago and was using a wheel chair everyday. He was not feeling the skin on his buttocks being damaged until it was discovered by a second party. Surgery and bed rest greeted him in 2008. If you are on an injectable MS drug, watch for reactions at the injection site. Instruct care-givers as to what to look for. Sally W. |
